How to set up LayerSeven TV on Formuler

MyTVOnline 3 comes pre-installed — look for it on the home screen. It is the best-integrated option on this hardware, with proper remote support and a fast guide. Because Formuler runs Android, you can also sideload LayerSeven TV from our Downloads page if you would rather use our own app.

In MyTVOnline, choose Add Portal or the plus button, then select Xtream Codes as the type. Enter the server URL, username and password from your subscription email and save. This is the route to prefer: it needs nothing from us, works immediately, and survives a server address change without a support ticket.

If you would rather have the box activated by MAC address, find it under Settings > System Information, send it to support, and we return a portal URL to enter under Add Portal > Portal URL. It amounts to the same thing, and is worth choosing only if you have a reason to prefer it.

In the Formuler settings, enable auto-start for MyTVOnline. The box then goes straight to your channels when it powers on, which is what most people want from something plugged into a television — and it removes a step for anyone in the house who did not set it up.

Channels, guide, films and series load in on their own. The Formuler remote has dedicated buttons for the guide and for favourites, which makes daily use noticeably quicker than a generic remote.
