How to set up LayerSeven TV on Firestick
The Fire TV Stick is the most popular way to watch LayerSeven TV on a television, and also the one with the most steps — Amazon does not carry IPTV players in its store, so the app is sideloaded through a small utility called Downloader. It is a well-worn path and takes about ten minutes. Everything below works on the Fire TV Stick, the 4K and 4K Max, and the Fire TV Cube.

Firestick Installation
Reveal Developer Options
On newer Fire OS versions Developer Options is hidden until you ask for it. Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About, highlight "Fire TV Stick" and press the select button seven times — a message confirms you are now a developer. On older devices the menu is already there and you can skip ahead.
Allow Installs from Downloader
Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options > Install Unknown Apps and turn the switch on for Downloader specifically. Granting it per app rather than globally is deliberate: it is the safer setting and it is all this needs.
Install the Downloader App
From the home screen, search for "Downloader" by AFTVnews and install it. It is a free, legitimate app in Amazon’s own store that exists to fetch files the store does not carry. Open it once and allow the storage permission it asks for.
Download & Install the Player
In Downloader, type the APK address from our Downloads page into the URL box and press Go. Type carefully — the remote makes it easy to get wrong, and a mistyped address is the usual reason nothing downloads. When the file finishes the installer opens on its own: choose Install, then Done, then Delete to reclaim the space, because the Stick has very little of it.
Open the App & Login
Find the app under Your Apps & Channels — it lands at the end of the row, and it is worth moving it to the front with the menu button. Open it and enter the username and password from your subscription email. With a general player instead, choose "Xtream Codes API" and add the server URL as well.
Start Streaming
The channel list, guide and on-demand library load in. Use the remote to move through categories, and hold select on any channel to make it a favourite — on a remote with no keyboard, favourites are what make the service usable day to day.

Common problems
Fixes specific to Firestick
Downloader says the download failed
Check the address character by character — the remote keyboard makes transposition easy, and Downloader reports any wrong address as a failure rather than a missing page. Make sure you entered it in full, including the file extension.
"Insufficient storage" during install
The Stick ships with very little free space. Delete the downloaded APK from inside Downloader once it has installed, and clear the cache of apps you do not use under Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications.
Channels buffer on a 4K Stick
Turn off Data Monitoring under Settings > Preferences, which throttles streams, and connect to a 5 GHz network. If the Stick sits behind the television, heat and blocked Wi-Fi are both real problems — the supplied HDMI extender exists for exactly this.
